How do we block our date and time on your calendar? We for blocking the date and time for the Personalized Ceremony. We will start the process by scheduling an interview at a convenient time and place. If you are pressed for time or too far away for us to meet in person, we will contact you by phone, SKYPE or e-mail.
What happens if we reside out of state or country? We will work with you via phone, SKYPE and/or e-mail.
Have you married couples from different countries, religions and/or cultures? We have married couples where one of both were from different religions, ethnicity and countries ( United States, Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, Dominica Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Mexico, Pakistan, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Spain, Thailand, Trinidad Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom and Venezuela).
Are you flexible? We officiate weddings at the location of your choice: from the intimacy of your home, hotel, reception hall, club house, beach, park, etc. We will travel to your location in South Florida, from Vero Beach to Miami. We will travel to other locations in Florida upon availability.
What time do you arrive at the wedding venue? We arrive about 15 minutes before the scheduled time of the ceremony.
Do you have back up in case of emergency? Our team consists of 3 officiants: Peter, Mylene and Cecilia. We back each other up in case of an emergency.
What do you wear? Cecilia wears a rpbe (black or white). Mylene usually wear black, unless you have a different preference. Peter wears a suit or a robe. If you have any questions, please feel free to call, text or e-mail us
About the Ceremony
How long is the ceremony? The Personalized Ceremony is scripted; therefore you have control of the length. In average the Personalized Ceremony about 18-25 minutes long. The Economic Ceremony is about 8 minutes long.
What about the vows? Can we choose to write our own vows or repeat after you? Yes. You may write your own vows or select one from a collection of vows that we have to assist you.
What about ceremony enhancements or rituals? You may create your own or choose from a collection of rituals as Unity Candle, Sand Ceremony, Wine Sharing, Child Affirmation, Honoring the Parents, etc
What about rehearsals? We offer rehearsal for a fee or we can assist you with your processional.
About the License
What about the marriage license? In Florida it is the BRIDE and GROOM's responsibility to apply together for their license at any Florida courthouse. You may apply at any courthouse in Florida. Call your selected courthouse for hours of operation and requirements as they may change without prior notice.
Who files the license? We return the marriage license to the courthouse within 05 days after the ceremony. The Clerk & Comptroller’s office will record the license and send the Marriage Certificate to the bride and groom.
How long does it take for the courthouse to mail back the license? A certified copy of the completed marriage license will be mailed to the parties by the courthouse within three weeks after it is received by the courthouse.
What happens if we don't have a marriage license? By law if you forgot, misplaced, lost or the marriage license has expired we have to read a disclaimer to all the guests advising that they will be witnessing a public commitment ceremony
